Finger Paints Yellow Bikini

So far this is the only yellow in my collection. I tried China Glaze Solar Power which is beautiful but not with my skintone. Yellow Bikini works well though. This is 3 coats. It was a little thick and goopy but I hear that is how most yellows behave. The ring and pinky have Nail Tek Foundation II for a matte effect. Doesn't look so great with this polish. I was wearing this and I put on a red skirt and a blue shirt. I kept looking in the mirror trying to figure out what was so strange, when I finally realized that I looked like Wonder Woman going in for a day at the office. I changed clothes.

Warning! Hairy Man Feet Konadicure

Konad is so amazing that even guys think that it's ingenious! Guys like my boyfriend Will for example, who is now sporting his very own Konad pedicure. Will finds it hilarious to have one or two badly chipped painted toenails for some reason. It just cracks him up. When we heard about Beauty Judy's Konad giveaway, I told him he had to enter. And boy did he ever! Here is the photo evidence to prove it. First a picture of regular old Will and then some occasionally terrifying pictures of Will doing his first Konadicure. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Here is a quote from Will: "I think they look just fine."

Halftone Konadicures & A Giveaway Roundup

These 2 manicures happened because I just wasn't happy with my french manicure Konad plate #45. Turns out I don't really love the effect of any of these by themselves so far. And lets face it, I am also still pretty bad at placing the stamp in exactly the right place. So I was just playing around and this is what happened. They both remind me of the halftone filter on photoshop. I probably won't be doing anything like either of these again, but I though I might post them anyway. The base for the first photo is Zoya Pasha. The rest of the pictures are over China Glaze Spontaneous.

OPI - Done Out In Deco

I don't think much needs to be said for this color. It's a very beautiful lavender creme and is from OPI's South Beach Collection.
This is two coats. If you were in a hurry I think you could get away with one coat, which is always a plus.

Zoya Pasha & Givaway Roundup

I got this one from the Zoya twitter sale. I loved the pictures I saw online, but when I did a quick swatch on one finger, I was worried it would clash with my skin tone. I finally got around to doing a full manicure and boy was I wrong! This will be one of my new go to colors. Super easy to apply and goes with most outfits. I finally decided the color looks like the iced coffee that sits in the little bowls of your ice. Zoya Pasha is a lovely polish!

Thanks for looking!

N.Y.C. Taxi Yellow

This is a really pretty yellow, but was a pain to apply.
This is 4 coats and it was still very streaky. It also took a long time to dry.
I think I had to re-do this manicure because I messed it up.
It was also the base I used for my first Konad.

China Glaze Spontaneous & Giveaway Roundup

Firs of all today I would like to thank Nivipa for tagging us in the 10 random facts post that has been going around! We are very new to the awesome world of nail polish blogging and don't have a lot of time to comment on others blogs nearly as much as we would like, so it was really nice of her to make us feel included. Thanks again! We will do a 5 random things about each of us post very soon.
Ok. China Glaze Spontaneous is a lovely nail polish! Purple creme that I would describe as the purple version of an orange creamsicle (hope that makes sense!) This is 2 coats with Nail Tek II Foundation on the ring and pinky for a matte effect. I prefer a glossy finish on this one though. I love it!

Give away Roundup (I only post ones I think are particularly sweet!)

Wet n Wild Fantasy Makers - Black Magic

Just a quick post to let you know that the Wet n Wild Halloween displays are here! There is an orange/gold glitter, a red shimmer, a black creme ( I think), a white glow in the dark and the one I chose, Black Magic. This is my first bar glitter polish and I'm not sure what I think. The bottles are super cute with little R.I.P. tombstones for caps. Black Magic is a clear base with multi-color small bar glitter. Green, gold, red, blue, orange
and purple from what I can tell. not sure if there are any new colors or if they are all repeats like Black Magic.

E.L.F. Dark Navy and a Giveaway Roundup

This polish is BORING. Applies just fine, but looks black 99% of the time. On the plus side it works great with Konad and only costs $1. I just checked the E.L.F. website and they just don't have any colors that appeal to me. They are all very safe colors. I'll be happy to try more if they ever start playing around with color. I took lots of pictures, and this is the only one where you can see a bit of blue. Ring and pinkie have Nail Tek Foundation II for a matte effect.

Maybelline Matte Sapphire

WOW! This was a great find at my local Dollar Tree. I had a hard time capturing the beauty and strangeness of this one. All photos are without topcoat on my pointer and middle finger and with topcoat on ring and pinkie. It looks great matte or glossy. This polish is navy blue matte with superfine silver specks. I don't even want to call them glitter because they don't sparkle at all. It really looks like when you look at the night sky in the woods and you see some stars, then you keep looking and you suddenly realize there are TONS more that are just tiny that you can't see in the city. This polish never looks black even indoors. I love it!

China Glaze Adore and a Giveaway Roundup

This is a great color, but I don't like it on my fingers. I do love it as a pedicure though! Blue-green metallic from the Romantique collection. Not nearly as chrome-y as I like.

My Giveaway Roundup (with one sale and at least one giveaway you haven't heard about yet!)

I love quality handmade products. Here is a giveaway for a lovely set of tea towels from Leanne Graff's Etsy shop. Thanks Paper n Stitch!

I want one of these little handmade mice soooo bad. Which should I choose? Harry Potter? Hannibal Lector? Chewbacca?

Here is your chance to win a Dior Addict polish.

Win the Wet n Wild Craze Collection here.

And don't forget tomorrow is your last day to enter Painted Lady Finger's Coraline Konad giveaway!

Toma Chromicolor

This is the second nail polish I ever chose for myself! It is my go to color if I am in a major hurry because it is opaque in one coat and dries in about a minute! Lovely silvery purple chrome metal nails! YAY! Not sure what the actual name of the color is because the sticker was missing when I purchased it. The first two pictures were taken in sunlight and the third indoors.

Also don't forget to enter Beauty Judy's first giveaway!
